América e o Iraque

Sabemos que há muito de cinismo e de “Real Politik” na invasão americana do Iraque, mas não só. Também temos alguma ingenuidade e a crença arreigada de que se está a praticar o Bem. Pode ser resumida assim :

T.S. Eliot's "Four Quartets”: “And last the rending pain of reenactment/ Of all that you have done and been; the shame/ Of motives late revealed, and the awareness/ Of things ill done and done to others’ harm/ Which once you took for exercise of virtue.”
