The Venezuelan National Assembly is analyzing the conferral of special powers for the Executive to strengthen the revolutionary process.
The request should be approved before the end of the month, and deputy Hiroshima Bravo said it will help create socialism since it grants the president more strength and allows the country to have "more efficient laws."
President Hugo Chavez requested special powers to legislate in ten strategic areas that include the economy, finances, social activity, culture, security and defense.
